Role details:

• Provide both onsite and remote customer support via telephone, email, webex etc
• Support pre-sales activity of the region sales force
• Provide post sales training and support
• Post processor development
• Work as part of the larger Delcam Canada support team
• Work both regional and NA tradeshows when required

The ideal candidate will currently be located in the Kitchener, Brampton, Hamilton areas or the GTA.

Delcam is seeking an experienced software engineer for work in our Salt Lake City office.  Delcam is a world-leading developer of advanced CAD/CAM software, with more than 25,000 customers in over 80 countries.  Our software is used to solve complex product design and manufacturing problems in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine, packaging, and consumer goods. As part of one of the fastest-growing companies in the CAD/CAM industry your basic responsibilities will be to enhance and maintain various aspects of the FeatureCAM product line. FeatureCAM is a highly graphical windows application that encompasses a number of seamlessly integrated products that address the mechanical manufacturing market, such as CNC milling, turning, and wire EDM.  We are looking for a bright software engineer who will contribute to our already successful product. Our product is market-leading, and we want to strengthen that lead. FeatureCAM is created using Visual C++ with MFC. We use OpenGL to display a graphical representation of the machinery that we target and the toolpaths we create. We use both proprietary and commercially available kernels to help us manipulate solid models of mechanical parts. Our product has a COM-based API to enable aftermarket enhancements. The majority of the code in FeatureCAM deals with user interface, 2D and 3D computational geometry, solid modeling, graphics, animation, and toolpath generation.

Delcam USA, makers of FeatureCAM, seeks a bright, energetic professional for an applications support position in Salt Lake City, Utah. This person will support and train customers in the use of our advanced CAD/CAM software product.  You will conduct training sessions live or over the web, and answer questions and solve problems via email and telephone.  We are looking for someone with a great attitude who likes working with people. Must be able to learn quickly and problem solve effectively.  The successful candidate must be a team player who can work well with our software developers and other applications personnel.  The position requires excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow through.  Some domestic and international travel possible, but travel is not a focus of this position.
